A quick guide to Jalori Jot

Nature is the best medicine. It will not only save you from daily stress but also give you a reason to smile.  Jalori is one such destination nestled amidst the beauty of nature and enveloped with forests and tunnels. It is a pass that bridges the distance between National Highway and Aut Tunnel and Saini. There are several worthwhile destinations to visit, prominent among them are:

Aut Tunnel– It is a long tunnel that the tourists need to cross while visiting Manali. Aut is a small hamlet located near to the tunnel. The place is exemplary and contains different shops, restaurants, hotels, etc. The town connects to other must-visit tourist destination places like Saini, Tirthan, Jibhi, and Jalori. The village promises what it supposed to be.

Banjar– It is the main town of this region and is famous for a bus stand. It is an exemplary town lying close to nature and it has a big market means for shopaholics. It is a paradise for the people who are in love with shopping. The place doesn’t have many hotels to stay for.

Jibhi- The popularity of Jibhi has increased as the tourists have started exploring this offbeat destination. From the standard village, it has now become a hippie town popular among western backpackers. The roadside settlement along with enormous homestays are also available. It is the place from which expedition to Jalori can be carried off. There are many mountain trails that leave from here. The destination is popular among foreigners and you can find a hearty Greek restaurant.

Gadagushaini– It is a small detour town and one of the least explored destination. It is not a similar place like Gushaini and Tirthan. Much more expedition needs to be carried off.

Ghiagi- It is a town located a few kilometers away from Jibhi and it connects Jalori. It is a village that is popular for its natural beauty, luxurious accommodation, delicious culinary, and a lot more.

Shoja– It is a destination that is famous for its summer getaways. The people from all across the world come here. This destination is famous for purple iris blossoms.

Apart from that, there are a few temples located here. There are a couple of trails that are located and you can take up different expeditions. It also offers a view of distant peaks.

Khanag– It is a small town nestled located after the crossing of Jalori. The place is eminent for rest house and as per the history, here the famous explorer spent his time and he died somewhere during the expedition. The place offers reminiscent of this destination.

Jalori Pass– It has two similar trails to go to Raghupurgarh and a small fort that is located on high altitude meadows and Serolsar Lake. You can do these trekking expeditions alone. Apart from that, there are Tirthan valley treks that you can follow.  There are many local guides available for this.

Raghuurgarh Fort– the fort is said to be constructed by the Mandi rulers. Right now, it is in a dilapidated condition and only some portion of stone walls is remaining. The expansive nature views will make you berserk. This expedition is truly one-of-a-kind and is best among them.

Serolsar Lake– It is small that has a lot of cultural significance. There is a temple dedicated to Budhi Nagin, and is one of the major deity to be worshipped. It is located at a distance of around 5 km but it is not difficult terrain. It mostly connects to the jungle and the expedition can be covered within 2 hours.

In the end, we would like to conclude Jalori Jot is a heavenly destination.
