Pabbar Valley- a must visit holiday destination

With summer holidays approaching, there is a need to unwind yourselves to a place that is throttled with peace, serenity and cool weather. Pabbar Valley is one among them.  Located in Himachal Pradesh and known for dense apple forests, deodar and oak, the destination is breathtakingly beautiful. The destination is enveloped with snow-capped mountains, glacial ice, and can be called as nature’s paradise. It is an ideal destination for adventurous activities.

Hatkoti-Located at an altitude of 11,00 m, it is a scenic destination located on the banks of Pabbar river in Shimla. The place is filled with several temples and it has derived its name from Goddess Hateshwari which is said to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva. It is a shikhara kind of temple that dates back to the 7th and 8th century. Near to this temple, there is a Shiva temple that has sculpted carvings. During the exile, it is believed that Pandava stayed there and hence the temple is said to be blissful.

Rohru- It is a small town nestled around the river Pabbar, and it is at a distance of 115 km from the Queen of Hills, Shimla. This destination is a must visit for the adventure lovers. Here, you can go for trout fishing and indulge in other heart-throbbing activities. The place seems to have been blessed. Here, you can indulge in trout fishing, camping, paragliding, and trekking.

Chirgaon- Situated 15 km away from Rohru, this scenic destination is also famous for trout fishing. There are several places in this area that are popularly known as the fishing spots like Mandil, Dhamvari, Tikkri, Larot to name a spot. This is the place where the tourist can begin his trekking expedition to Sangla Valley, Dodra, Sarahan to Nichar.

Theog– It is a small village that seems to be overpopulated. There are various temples that are worth visiting here like Banthia Devta Temples of Janog that exhibits exemplary woodwork and inside the temple there you find incarnations of Lord Vishnu, Devi Durga, and a lot more.

Chopal– It is a small town that is located 100km away from Shimla. Its essence its standard wood and stone houses with slate roofs, located amidst the deodar woods are widely popular. It is from here you can observe snowclad mountains to the best. There is a village that is situated near Chopal and is worth visiting for. Churdar is derived from words called as Choor Chandni that is also known to be an idyllic place for trekking. There are various temples that reflect the exemplary artwork of craftsman. The temples that are located nearby are Lankra Bir, Gugga Bir, and Lord Shiva temple.

Kothkhai- It is located at a distance of 19kms from Chhaila. The place is prosperous and is famous for orchards of Apple, cherries and apricot orchards. The place produces 40 percent of apples.

Khara Pathar– Located at a distance of 24 km from Kothkai, the destination is perfect for the laidback travelers who want to stand still and enjoy in the lap of nature. The place has been blessed by natural and scenic beauty including lush green forests, excellent trails, and apple orchards.

Jubbal– The place was known to be the princely state and has been named so. It is one of the important hill stations that trace the origin of princely ruler Kannauj. The place is splendid and has been designed in 1930 by the French architect. The architecture reflects the mix of European and indigenous style. The place occupies a special place in the mind of devotees as it boasts of some splendid temples. Piri Devi is the ancient and most spell bounding temple located here.

Another destination that is worth visit is Chanshal- it is a mountain range that links to Dodra Kwar. It boasts of some splendid ski slopes.

All in all, this destination is ideal for trekking and other adventurous activities.
